Le Chemin de croix
Dans une église, le Chemin de croix est un ensemble de 14 scènes qui marquent les différentes stations du Christ depuis son jugement jusqu’à sa mort. Dans cette église, plusieurs Chemins de croix se sont succédés ; l’exemplaire actuel a été créé par l’artiste Sabine de Coune et installé en 2020. Il mélange la terre et la peinture sur des panneaux de bois. En plus des 14 stations, l’artiste a réalisé deux bas-reliefs représentant la Résurrection et les Pèlerins d’Emmaüs.
De Kruisweg
In een kerk bestaat de kruisweg uit een reeks van 14 taferelen die de verschillende staties van Christus’ lijdensweg aangeven, vanaf zijn oordeel tot aan zijn dood. Deze kerk heeft verschillende kruiswegstaties gekend. De huidige kruisweg is gemaakt door kunstenares Sabine de Coune en werd geïnstalleerd in 2020. Zij mengt klei en verf op houten panelen. Naast de 14 staties creëerde de kunstenares ook twee bas-reliëfs die de Verrijzenis en de Emmaüsgangers voorstellen.
The Stations of the Cross
The Stations of the Cross are a 14-step devotion that depict the different stations of Christ’s last day on earth as a man, from his judgment to his death. In this church there have been several Ways of the Cross; the current one was created by the artist Sabine de Coune and was installed in 2020. The technique mixes clay and paint on wooden panels. In addition to the 14 stations, the artist created two bas-reliefs representing the Resurrection and the Pilgrims of Emmaus.
